About the Artist
“In art I find my stillness and rhythm, my teacher and lover.
With intention in what I create, I aim to share honesty and awakening. To celebrate this fantastic adventure, inspire, and be inspired.
I begin with only seeds of composition, subject, or emotion. I go on a journey with each piece, and I am astonished and delighted with each step. I watch and listen, my hands following my heart.
When the artwork is completed, I am able to step back, and, with fresh eyes I join the audience.
The figure before us is familiar, but she is nameless. Each painting is a mirror, a reflection of our light and shadow, our feminine essence, and our ancient divinity.”
Autumn Skye lives and paints in her home on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada. In her studio, she overlooks a sweeping expanse of ocean, islands, mountains, and sky. She considers herself among the blessed of the blessed, and lives each day in gratitude and joy of being able to share her art and inspiration.
