About the Artist
Sunny Strasburg adheres to the philosophy that merging mind, body and
spirit facilitates the deepest, long-term change. This in turn, opens
us to live our lives fully engaged, excited and with a sense of
purpose.
Sunny has a Master of Arts degree from Pacifica Graduate Institute in
Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Depth and Jungian
Psychotherapy. She is an artist as well as an avid outdoor sports
enthusiast. Sunny has facilitated psychotherapy groups, families,
individuals and women with issues such as addiction, dream analysis,
gender identity, eating disorders, grief and loss and bringing love
and excitement back into marriages and individual lives.
Sunny has sixteen years experience as a professional artist and
designer. She has a Bachelor of Fine Art degree. She has written and
illustrated the books, The Alchemist’s Path: Navigating and Reclaiming
the Depths of Your Psyche, and Goddess Alchemy: A Dream Journal. She
has had art showings at Alex Grey CoSM: The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors
in New York City and The High Life Gallery in Salt Lake City.
Sunny’s counseling internships have been at the Carmen B. Pingree
School for Autism, Odyssey House Adult Residential Drug Treatment
Facility and Volunteers of America Outpatient Substance Abuse
Treatment and Homeless Women’s Outreach. She has several years of
experience volunteering for Rocky Mountain Hospice, Faith in Action,
Volunteers of America Center for Women and Children, Head Start, The
Children’s Center and YWCA.
Sunny has hosted and produced events such as Mindbender at the
Sundance Film Festival, Heart On, The White Party, Big Mind with Genpo
Roshi, Conscientia and Workshop with Daniel Pinchbeck. Created,
presented and facilitated An Alchemical Gender Circle , Off the Mat
and Into the World, The Insight Collective Empowerment Circle and
other workshops throughout the United States.
